Bookaholics Book Club

Wouldn't You Rather Be Reading?

We meet the 3rd Thursday of each month, January - November,
at 6:30 p.m. at the Library

Next Meeting: Thursday, June 15

We will be discussing The World's Strongest Librarian
by Josh Hanagarne.

Josh Hanagarne was born in rural Utah.  He was six when his first manifestations of Tourette’s Syndrome appeared during a school play.  By the time Josh turned twenty, his tics were too drastic to ignore.  Desperate for some sort of control over his own body, Josh tried all possible treatments, with little success.  A weight lifting regimen proved the most useful, as Josh learned to “throttle” his tics into submission.  Today, Josh is 6’7,” weighs 260 pounds, works at the St. Lake City Public Library, and when not at his day job, can be found participating in strongman competitions.  An imposing figure and literally incapable of sitting still, Josh is not your average librarian.

Copies of the book are now available.
